Marie Edna Ross

Marie Edna (née Baird) Ross, age 93, of Revelo, KY passed from this life at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY on February 20, 2022.

Marie was a homemaker, a devoted wife of 69 years, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, quilting, and celebrating life with her family. Marie was known for her generosity, compassion, and humble spirit. She never met a stranger; all were welcome at her table. Marie’s life was a testimony to her Savior, Jesus Christ, and she lived by His example.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Mary Fronia (née Ramsey); son, Glen Ross; brothers: Estel, Elmer, Emery, Fremon, and Leamon; sisters: Sue Carol Baird, Elizabeth Kangas, Edlene King, Betty Craft, Nina Stephens, Sally Baird, and Mary (Baltimore) Knierien.

Marie is survived by her husband, Charles Ross; sons: Gene Ross and Dwight (and Stephanie) Ross; daughter, Elaine Clark; five grandchildren: Joshua (and Heidi) Clark, Jessica (and John) Roth, Katelyn (and Brian) Tisdale, Cody (and fiancé Jera) Ross, Megan (and Kyle) Gehring; eight great grandchildren: Dagen Thomas and Alexandria Marie Clark; Colette Marie and John Lincoln Roth; Landon Charles, Elizabeth “Thea” Monique, and Elodie Marie Tisdale; Tucker Gordon Gehring.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at McCreary Country Funeral Home.  Visitation beginning at 10:00 AM to noon. Funeral will begin at noon, burial following immediately. Pastor Mark Sewell will be officiating.
