Mary Ila Worley

March 26, 1926 — December 28, 2014

Ms. Mary Ila Worley, passed away at her home in Parkers Lake, Kentucky, on Sunday, December 28, 2014, having attained the age of 88 years, 9 months and 2 days.

Ms. Worley worked for the Cumberland Falls DuPont Lodge as a cook until she retired.  She was a member of the Pleasant Knob Baptist Church. She loved being with and cooking for her family.  She enjoyed sitting on the porch watching her flower garden grow.  She also enjoyed sewing and playing cards with her family and friends.

Born March 26, 1926, in Russellville, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late James Everett and Mary Ann (McGee) Patrick.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers; James Haygood and Robert Patrick and a son-in-law, Ronald Perry.

Surviving family include four daughters; Joyce Perry of Whitley City, Wilma (and James Ray) Munsey of Nancy, Kentucky, Faye Cash of the Beulah Heights community and Freida Cecil of Pine Knot, and a son of the heart, Carness Rose of Parkers Lake.  She has a brother, Freddie (and Pam) Patrick of Marshes Siding and four sisters; Ella Mae (and Al) Goodin of London, Kentucky, Norma Barnett of Parkers Lake, Retha Thackson of Parkers Lake and Fayrene (and Butch) Rowe of Stearns.  She was blessed with six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, and a special niece Janet Worley of Liberty, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 2, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Dwayne Perry and Bro. Jimmy Vanover officiating.  Burial will be in the Pleasant Knob Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
