Mossie Geneva Godsey

Mossie Geneva Godsey, age 94 years, of Somerset, Kentucky died Monday, December 9, 2019 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born in Pine Knot, Kentucky the daughter of Elmer and Ada (Stephens) King. Mossie had worked a kick press in a factory, of the Baptist faith, member of the Laurel Heights Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #288, and Senior Friends at Somerset.

Her parents; husband, Cline Godsey; brothers, Herman King and Ernest King; and sisters, Irene King, Opal Hill, Viola Messer, Maude Sellers, Madeline Strunk, Imogene Sims, and Della Perry precede her in death.

Survivors include her daughters, Jean Bryant of Cincinnati, Brenda Henderson of Somerset, and Judy K. Murphy of Somerset; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 13, 2019 at 2pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Bill King and Bro. Landon Sexton officiating. Burial to follow in the Pine Knot Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12pm Friday at the funeral home. Eastern Star service will be held Friday at 1:30pm.
