Mossie Ridner Goins

October 18, 1958 — May 19, 2025

Mossie Ridner Goins age 66, of Parkers Lake KY passed away on May 19, at her home in Parkers Lake. Mossie was born on October 18, 1958, to the late Estle and Nola Emerine (Hicks) Ridner. Mossie is survived by her sons Jason Cleo Perry, and Timothy Lee Perry (Kimberly). She also leaves behind three grandsons, Dakota Vanover (Amber), James “JT” Ridner. James Bradley Perry Swain “JB”. Two granddaughters, Natasha Goodin, and Martikka Vanover, and 6 great grandchildren. Brother Mike Ridner (Debbie) and sister Wilma Honk Ridner Bennett (Roger). A very special friend Larry Hopper, an adopted nephew Bill Wilson, and another one she claimed as a son, Darrell Rollins. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own!

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son; James Fred Ridner and daughters; Leatha Faye Vanover and Christy Lynn Goodin. An infant grandson Jason Perry, brothers; Lee Ester Ridner, Norman Ted Ridner, Leonard Ben Ridner, Finley Dodge Ridner, and Denny Ridner, and sisters; Roxie Shag Mitchell and Flossie Faye Swain.

Mossie was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to yard sales, goodwill, bingo, and sewing quilt tops. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family reminiscing on the fun/crazy times that they had while growing up. She enjoyed church and loved to sing. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, but let’s face it, she loved hearing her brother, nephew, and nieces play and sing the most, now that would put that huge smile on her face. She had many songs that she liked to hear/sing but as a child, I can remember her, shag, and my mom (Flossie) belting out the song “You ain’t woman enough, to take my man”. Let’s just take a moment and remember something special about her, we all know that if she liked ya, she loved ya but on the other hand, if she didn’t like ya, well she wasn’t a woman who would hide it, you would know it. She will honestly be dearly missed by each and every one who had the pleasure of knowing her, our loss is truly Heaven's gain.
