Norma Jean Crabtree

Norma Jean Crabtree, age 86, of Stearns, Kentucky, widow of the late Woodrow Crabtree, passed away at Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky, on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Norma was born in Whitley City, Kentucky to the late Joseph and Flora Mae (Bryant) Foster.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son; Gary Lee Crabtree, brothers; Chester Ball and Leslie Ball, sisters; Iona Roberts, Ruth Jones and Dessie, grandchildren; Michael Curtis Dean and Ronnie Allen Dean.

She is survived by her daughters; Betty Lou Dean and husband Curtis of Jonesville, Virginia, Sherry Hatfield and husband Jessie of Stearns, Kentucky, Trish Perry and husband Terry of Stearns, Kentucky, Vanessa Barnett and husband John of Kissimmee, Florida, grandchildren; Elizabeth Dean, Amanda Qualls, Jessica Musgrove, Zachary Israil, Diana Utley and Alicia Calder, great-grandchildren; Alex, Payton, Daejeon, McKenzie, Noah and Conner; and special niece and nephews; Judy, Rodney and Jerry.

Norma was a member of Harvest Time Assembly of God and attended South Pine Knot Church of God, she was a Christian who loved attending church, spending time with loved ones, cooking family meals and going on picnics. She was a homemaker and took special pride in her home and enjoyed cleaning, cooking and ironing.
