Norman H. "Purt" Bryant

Norman H. "Purt" Bryant, age 87 years, of Stearns, Kentucky died Thursday, August 31, 2023 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

He was born in Stearns, Kentucky on June 20, 1936 the son of Albert Lincoln Bryant and Lucy Harp Bryant. Perk had worked for the Forest Service, State Highway Garage and Kingsford Charcoal Plant. He attended Church of the Living God, and enjoyed coon hunting.

His parents; wife Mary Jo Koger; brother, Herman Bryant; and sisters Pearl Redden, Flonnie Brown, Dorothy Waters, and Eula Stewart precede him in death.

Survivors include his son, Noel Jeffery Bryant of Huntsville, Tennessee; daughters, Norma Jo Brown (Marvin) of Russell Springs, Kentucky, Angela Bryant of Somerset, Kentucky, and Rhonda Jean Bryant of Stearns, Kentucky; sister, Doris Judd of Las Vegas, Nevada; nine grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 3pm Tuesday, September, 5, 2023 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Braxton King Officiating. Burial will follow in the Higginbotham Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation after 1pm Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
