Oscar Hinkle

Oscar Hinkle, age 93 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky. He was born in Whitley County, Kentucky on July 6, 1927 the son of John and Rachel (Collins) Hinkle. Oscar was a Coal Miner and of the Christian Faith. His favorite past times were reading, doing crossword puzzles, and being Mr. Fix It, and he loved his family. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sylvia (Perry) Hinkle; son Wayne Hinkle; and brothers, Archie Hinkle and Aubrey Perry. Survivors include his daughter, Lynn Hinkle of Whitley City; and grandchildren, Rachel Hinkle, Cody Koger, Aaron Hinkle and wife, Jacie; and 1 great grandchild. Funeral services will be held 1pm Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at the McCreary County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Higginbotham Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12pm Wednesday at the Funeral Home. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
