Patricia Ann Helton

Patricia Ann Helton, age 80 years, of the Greenwood Community died Thursday, August 1, 2024 at her home.

She was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on October 11, 1943 the daughter of Virgil and Anna Vlisteen (Creekmore) Pearson. Pat was a retired Teacher from the McCreary County School System and was a member of the Whitley City Church of God and the McCreary County Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed sewing, fishing, camping, going to junking, but the most enjoyment in her life was being with her grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; a husband James Ray Helton; son, John Ray Helton; daughter, Anna Vlisteen Rollins; and grandson, Shawn Michael Helton.

Survivors include her son, James Otis Helton (Sherri) of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; daughter-in-law, Bobbie Jo Helton of Parkers Lake; grandchildren, Jake Helton (Samantha), Jami Coomer (Gary), Joni Helton, Jack Helton, Jason King, and Hailey Helton; numerous great grandchildren; and lifelong best friends, Jolie Ann Coomer and Shirley Corder.

Funeral services will be held 1pm Monday, August 5, 2024 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Jake Helton officiating. Burial will follow in the Yancey Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11am Monday at the Funeral Home.
