Randy Bryant

Mr. Randy Bryant, passed from this life on March 6, 2015, at the Jean Waddle Care Center of the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. He was 67 years, two months and six days old.

Randy was born on December 28, 1947, in McCreary County, Kentucky, to the late Leslie and China (Perry) Bryant.  Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Harold Bryant and a sister Penny Lake.

Surviving family include his wife of 50 years Janice (Taylor) Bryant of Whitley City, whom he married August 15, 1964, a son Avery Bryant (and Madonna) of Whitley City, daughters; Angela Hardwick (and Jeffery) of Whitley City, and Amanda Heath (and Starlin) of Whitley City, a brother; Arlis Bryant (and Sheila)  of Whitley City, sisters; Mae Bryant of Whitley City, Elva Perkins (and Ed) of Stearns and Opal McHome of Whitley City, seven grandchildren; Michael Bryant, Angel Bryant, Cassie Vanover, Elizabeth Hardwick, Randi Heath, Megan Heath, and Casey Harkins, and eight great-grandchildren.

Randy had worked with the McCreary County School System for 15 years in maintenance and had J. & R. Upholstery Shop in Whitley City.  He also worked for Darby’s building the coal washers at Pine Knot and Whitesburg.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 9, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at the Sandhill Baptist Church.  Burial will be at the Sandhill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time for services.
