Rev. William Lester Stephens

Rev. William Lester Stephens, age 96 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Monday, March 18, 2019 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.
He was born in Whitley City, Kentucky on September 10, 1922 the son of Leslie and Gustava (Lester) Stephens. He was a retired minister, an auto mechanic, and loved collecting. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. William had served hi country in the US Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Sarah Margaret (Holland) Stephens; and daughter, Leslie Rupp.
Survivors include his wife, Jean (Lynch) Stephens of Whitley City; daughter, Miriam Pittman (Tommy); and grandson, Michael Rupp.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 1pm at McCreary County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends after 12pm Wednesday at the McCreary County Funeral Home.
