Robert Dean Allen, age 59 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Wednesday, October 14, 2020 in Somerset, Kentucky at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 18, 1960 the son of Virgil Greene and Wilma Jean (Watson) Allen. Robert was a member of the Beulah Heights Church of God. Had worked as warehouse manager for the Cumberland Falls State Park, enjoyed fishing, and playing his guitar, but his greatest joy in life was time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ricky Lane Allen.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Annette (Hickman) Allen of Whitley City; daughters, Sarena Allen of Parkers Lake, Katrena Chitwood (Ricky) of Stearns, and Courtney Burchfield (Jeremiah) of Parkers Lake; sister, Kathy Honeycutt (Mark Caldwell) of Union, Kentucky; grandchildren, Shantay, Shayla, and MaKayla Fry, Kaylee Kyla, and KaLeah Chitwood, and Shayna, Jaylen, Zayden, and Jazzlyn Burchfield; nephew that felt like a son, Ricky Allen; cousin that was like a brother, Willie Watson (Rena); and special friends the Honeycutt family.

Funeral services will be held 1pm Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Scottie Corder, Bro. Thomas Corder, and Bro. Johnny Corder officiating. Burial will follow in the Barren Fork Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Friday, October 16, 2020 at the funeral home.
