Ronald Eugene Rose

Ronald Eugene Rose, age 77 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Saturday, May 9, 2026 at his home.

He was born in Pike County, Kentucky on April 1, 1949, the son of the late John Langley and Helen Elizabeth (Elkins) Rose. Ronald had drove truck for Runyon Trucking and enjoyed working on vehicles and listening to music.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Marie (Walker) Rose; brothers, Irland Rose, Eddie Rose, Jimmy Rose, Danny Rose, William Rose, and Dale Rose.

Survivors include his son, Ronald Eugene Walker (Henrietta Perry) of Whitley City, Kentucky; daughter, Mary Easterling (Ronald) of Elkhorn City, Kentucky; sisters, Nancy Oller Neopolian, of Ohio and Rita Dutten of Pike County, Kentucky; grandchildren, Brittany Newsome, Brian Thacker, Matthew Thacker, Courtney Jones, and Baileigh Walker; and great grandchildren, Brileigh Thacker, Zaden Kinder, Kye Gannon, Mason Thacker, Grayson Thacker, and Kadon Thacker.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Sunday, May 17, 2026 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. John Goodin officiating. Burial will follow in the New Light Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Friday, May 15, 2026 at the Funeral Home, and again from 5-8pm Saturday at the Funeral Home.
