Ronald Joey Slaven

Ronald Joey Slaven, age 67 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Saturday, November 11, 2023 at his home.

He was born in Marshes Siding, Kentucky on July 6, 1956 the son of Hurstle and Vivian (Strunk) Slaven.  He had worked as a garbage collector and enjoyed watching wrestling.

His parents; a brother, Scottie Slaven; and nephew, Wade Foster precede him in death.

Survivors include his brother, David Slaven; nieces and nephews, Billy Slaven of Whitley City, Kentucky, Tara Cooper of Stearns, Kentucky, Amy Bray of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, Brandy Byrd of Anna, Ohio, Jordan Slaven of Stearns, Kentucky, David Slaven, Jr. of Stearns, Kentucky, Ashley Keller of Eubank, Kentucky, Tiffany Fry of Nashville, Tennessee, Misty Jones of Somerset, Kentucky, Dennis Foster of Somerset, Kentucky; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wish’s cremation was chosen.
