Rosa Ella Daugherty

Rosa Ella Daugherty, age 87 years, of Strunk, Kentucky died Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at her home.

She was born in Strunk, Kentucky on June 18, 1931 the daughter of the late Jess and Oma (Reed) Crabtree. Rosa had worked at OVC and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

She  is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Henderson Daugherty, Jr.; daughter, Tammy Roberts; brothers, Walter Crabtree, Arnold Crabtree, and Paul Crabtree; and sisters, Anna Cassidy, Elsie Wilson, Gloris King, Mandy Barnett, and Lora Crabtree.

Survivors include her sons, David Daugherty, Jimmy Daugherty, and Tim Daugherty all of Strunk; daughters, Barbara Kidd and Debbie Taylor both of Pine Knot; sister Hannah Garland of Strunk; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Friday, January 11, 2019 at the McCreary County Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Hill Cemetery.
