Roy A. Phillips

Roy A. Phillips, age 79 years, of McCreary County, Kentucky died Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.

He was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on April 7, 1944 the son of Harley and Martha (Jones) Phillips. Roy enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

His parents; wife, Jackauline (Canada) Phillips; daughter, Carolyn Phillips; brother, Harley Phillips, Jr.; and sisters, Brenda Worley and Betty Strunk precede him in death.

Survivors include his son Charles Phillips and wife, Kristen of Monticello, Kentucky; brothers, Larry Phillips, Roger Phillips, David Phillips, and Arthur Phillips all of Indiana; sisters, Joyce Phillips, Mary Phillips, and Geneva Jones all of Indiana; grandchildren, Leanora Taylor (Joseph Dople) and Rebecca Head (Curtis); and great grandchildren, Kayden Phillips, Raleigh Head, Paislee Head, Gabriella Gibson, and Kolson Head.

In accordance with his wish’s cremation was chosen.
