Rev. Silas Gregory, age 81 years, of Stearns, Kentucky died Saturday, August 1, 2026 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.
He was born in Slavans, Kentucky on October 1, 1944 the son of the late Jim and Lona (Coffey) Gregory. Silas had worked as a welder for Harrison Steel, Yamacraw Manufacturing, and Stardust, and was a member of the Clark Hollow United Baptist Church. He was born again in 1959 between two sugar trees, as was always stated in his testimony to his kids, friends, loved ones and lay members of the church, he would not want us weeping for him, because he is at rest and his race is run. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lois (Gregory) Gregory; brothers, George H. Gregory and Story Gregory; and sisters, Betty Perry, Maggie Clark, Mary Bell, and Bonnie Lou Gregory.
