Stephanie Mae Duncan, age 41 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Sunday, February 1, 2026 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.
She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on June 22, 1984 the daughter of Crawford and Anita (Jones) Duncan. Stephanie had been a Claims Investigator of Kentucky Department of Community Based Services and was a member of Grace Creation Church in Oneida, Tennessee. She enjoyed surprising people by giving them mementos or paying for a meal, going to concerts, arranging flowers, jeep riding, cookouts, and being with friends.
Survivors include her mother, Anita Duncan of Whitley City, Kentucky; father, Crawford Duncan of Strunk, Kentucky; brother, Michael Duncan of St. Charles, Missouri; sister, Rebecca Duncan of Strunk, Kentucky; special partner, Justin Coffey of Whitley City, Kentucky and his mother, Donna Coffey whom she considered a second mother; niece, Willow Duncan; special aunt, Joanne Bryant; some of her closest friends, Joey Matthews, Shawn and Arizona Frazee, Seth Sumner, Rebecca Braden Hill, and Erica Roberts; her doggies, Isabel and Ringo; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 7pm Friday, February 6, 2026 at the McCreary County Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after 5pm Friday at the Funeral Home. In keeping with her wish's cremation will follow.
