Thelma Shepherd, age 90 years, of Stearns, Kentucky died August 19, 2013 in Corbin, Kentucky at the Oaktree Hospital. Graveside services were held Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 1:15pm at the Angel Cemetery with Bro. Braxton King officiating.
She was born in Bear Creek Community on the Family Farm, Kentucky on December 25, 1922 the daughter of the late Pete and Bertha (Turner) King. She was a homemaker and worked in her family store.
Her parents; husband, James C. Shepherd; brothers, Eldred and Braxton King; and sisters, Elva Ross and Mildred Bruce precede her in death.
Her daughters, Susan Baker of Stearns, Kentucky and Charlotte Mason of Brevard, North Carolina; and sisters, Lula Monroe of Stearns, Kentucky, Doris Swain of Danville, Kentucky and Maxine Clark of Villa Hills, Kentucky. Grandchildren, James Michael Baker, Ann Mason and Ben Mason; and great grandchild, William Mason also survive.
