THOMAS RALSTON SELLERS

Rev. Thomas Ralston Sellers, Sr., age 73 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died April 2, 2011 in Somerset, Kentucky at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Wednesday April 6, 2011 at 11am in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Francis King and Rev. Jerry Myers officiating. Burial was in the Wiborg Cemetery. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIANDS AFTER 6PM TUESDAY APRIL 5, 2011 AT THE FUNERAL HOME. He was born in Flat Rock, Kentucky on May 25, 1937 the son of the late Lewis and Angie (Powell) Sellers. He was a Sawmill Forman, member of the Beulah Heights Church of God, and former Chief of the North McCreary Fire Department. His parents, brothers Ralph Sellers, Starlin Sellers, Emmitt J. Staffey, and James G. Sellers, and sister Ruth Sellers precede him in death. Survivors include his wife Betty (Perry) Sellers of Whitley City, Kentucky, sons James T. Sellers, Sr. and wife Shannon of Sheffield, Alabama, Gary L. Sellers and wife Linda and Ralph R. Sellers and wife Lindy both of Pine Knot, Kentucky and Larry E. Sellers, Sr. and wife Debra and Thomas R. Sellers, Jr. both of Whitley City, Kentucky, and a brother Roger Bill Sellers of Dayton, Kentucky. 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren also survive. Military Honors provided by American Legion Post #115. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
