Thurstal Mason Taylor

Thurstal Mason Taylor, age 72 years, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died Friday, April 28, 2023 at his home.

He was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on November 22, 1950 the son of Troy Mason Sears and Manda Aline Goodin.  Thurstal had worked as a logger and was a member of the Greenwood Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching westerns, fishing, and camping.

His parents; stepfather, Thomas Goodin, stepmother, Gracie Sears; brothers, Marshall Goodin, Lawrence Goodin, Richard Goodin, and Ronald Sears; sisters, Evenlyn Vanover, Linda Goodin, Charlene Sears, and Pearlie Clark precede him in death.

Survivors include his sons, Willis Mitchell Taylor (Pamela) and DJ Coleman both of Parkers Lake; daughter, Michelle Taylor (Daniel Hurd) of Parkers Lake; brothers and sisters, Kenneth Goodin of Waynesburg, Mary Goodin of Parkers Lake, Sharon Goodin of Waynesburg, Becky Stull (Jr.) of Waynesburg, Jeff Goodin (Gayle) of Eubank, Ronald Goodin (Krystal) of Waynesburg, Thelma Keith of Parkers Lake, Iva Dean Duncan of Whitley City, Mary Duncan of Burnside, Donald Sears of Burnside, and Debbie Sears of Somerset; grandchildren, Cameron Whitaker (Cody), Carolanne Hatfield (Daniel), Jonathan Taylor (Selena), Heather Taylorand Carson Bennett; great grandchildren, Levi Patrick, Jersiee Ridener, Cade Ridener, Karma Taylor, Kylee Taylor, Kason Taylor, LeeAnne Hatfield, Winnie Hatfield, Jr. Hatfield, Angel Hatfield, Allena Taylor, and Luke Canada; and special friends, Howard and Joyce Goodin.

Funeral services will be held 3pm Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the Pleasant Knob United Baptist Church with Bro. Daniel Perry and Bro. John Goodin officiating. Burial will follow in the Marlar Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 1pm Saturday at the Church.
