VINA CLARK

January 19, 1927 — January 8, 2015

Vina (Coffey) Clark, age 87, of the Rattle Snake Ridge Community of Stearns, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, January 8, 2015, at the McCreary Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pine Knot, Kentucky.

Ms. Clark was born January 19, 1927, at Wolf Creek, Kentucky, to the late Benjamin Frank and Sally Bell (Clark) Coffey.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Delbert Clark, all her brothers and sisters; Benjamin Frank, Roy, Henry, Jim, Grover, and Hobert Coffey, Adina Gibson, Rebecca Coffey, Toni Branscum, Dova Morrow, Dorothy Coffey, Hazel Delphia Branscum, two infant siblings, and a daugher-in-law, Mary Clark.

Surviving are 12 children; Ella Mae (and George) Murphy of Sidney, Ohio, Hulen Frank (and Sue) Clark of Sidney, Delbert David (and Zadie) Clark of Stearns, Kentucky, Mildred Kathy (and Larry) Coffey of Stearns, Carl Glenn Clark of Stearns, Dorothy Bell Clark of Somerset, Naomi (and Darrel) Bryant of Pine Knot, Randall Dean (and Judy) Clark of Lexington, William (and Treasa) Clark of Stearns, Gladys (and Gary) Douglas of Stearns, Joseph Clark of Stearns, Israel (and Loretta) Clark of Stearns, and 34 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild, with two grandchildren proceeding her in death.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting and gardening, and member of the Lower Wolf Creek United Baptist Church.   She was a loyal wife, a devoted mother whose children were her cherished gifts from God, and a devoted Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart.  All who knew and loved her will miss her, but it’s certainly heaven’s eternal gain.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 11, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home with David Clark, Bill Clark and Carl “Cubby” Clark officiating.  She will be laid to rest at the Clark Family Cemetery on Rattle Snake Ridge in Stearns, Kentucky.  Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6:p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
