Virginia Lee Barnett

Virginia Lee Barnett, age 78 years, of Clinton, Tennessee died Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

She was born in Honeybee, Kentucky on May 20, 1944 the daughter of Rev. Ruthel and Maggie (Bryant) Lynch.  Virginia had worked for RCA, was a member of the Indian Creek United Baptist Church, the Square-Dancing Club, and enjoyed gardening.

Her parents; brothers, Fletcher Lynch and Stanley Lynch; and sister, Laura Louise Lynch precede her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Carl Harris Barnett of Clinton, Tennessee; daughter, Shonda Renee Smith of Knoxville, Tennessee; brothers, Wes Lynch of Parkers Lake,, Kentucky, Gary Lynch of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, Jerry Lynch of Whitley City, Kentucky, and Eddie Lynch of Parkers Lake, Kentucky;  sisters, Rema Perry of Parkers Lake, Kentucky and Geneva Whittle of Gallatin, Tennessee; grandchild, Kameka Smith; and great grandchild, Eli Aaron Viloria.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Friday, June 3, 2022 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmie Vanover and Bro. Mark Perry officiating.  Burial will follow in the Higginbotham Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the Funeral Home.
