Wanda Faye Lay

Wanda Faye Lay, age 63 years, of the Beulah Heights Community died Thursday, May 30, 2024 at her home.

She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 29, 1960 the daughter of Thomas and Wilma Jean (Sumler) McHale.  Wanda had been a Pre-School Aide for the McCreary County School System and a member of the Flat Rock Missionary Baptist Church. She loved camping but being with her grandchildren was her favorite times in life.

Her parents; son, Michael Paul Wyatt; and daughter, Amanda Wyatt precede her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Clayton Lay of Whitley City; sons, Kenny Wyatt of Somerset, Kentucky and Eric Wyatt (Jessica Keith) of Somerset, Kentucky; sister, Mary Jo McHale of Dalton, Georgia; grandchildren, Alex Wyatt, Andru Ridener, Katie Lynn Stephens, Jenna Blevins, and Kennede Blevins; and nephews and niece, JR Staley, Jason, Staley, and Amanda Staley.

Funeral services will be held 7pm Monday, June 3, 2024 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Staley officiating. Cremation will follow. The family will receive friends after 5pm Monday at the Funeral Home.
