William Robert "Bob" Trammell, age 74 years, of Strunk, Kentucky departed from this life on July 8, 2026 at Select Specialty Hospital in Danville, Kentucky. He was born on September 2, 1951, in Cleveland, Ohio to David Trammell and Nellie Myers Trammell .
Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he worked in military intelligence and was stationed in Germany for much of his service. Following his military career, he worked for ten years at American Bag Corporation. After the company closed, he began working at Oakwood, where he remained until his retirement. Bob was a faithful member of Marsh Creek Baptist Church, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, fishing, watching western movies and cheering on college basketball.
Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Morgan Trammell; daughter, Ellen Louise Tramell Worley; his mother, Nellie Myers Trammell, and his step-mother, Lois Trammell, who raised him as her own, his father, David Trammell; and his sister, Roselee Trammell; and his brother, Tommy Trammell.
Left to cherish his memory are his grandson, Garrett Worley and wife Meghan of Strunk, Kentucky, great grandchildren, Nora and Lilyann; his sisters, Kathy Tramell of Helenwood, Tennessee, Vickie Skinner of San Antonio, Texas, Anette Hughes of Loganville, Georgia, Mary Hubble of Daleville, Indiana; his brothers, Bobby Joe Trammell of Winfield, Tennessee, Gary Trammell of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Johnny Trammell of Strunk, Kentucky, Anthony Trammell of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Jeff Trammell of Oneida, Tennessee, Ronnie (Doc) Trammell of Strunk, Kentucky along with a hose of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends who will deeply morn his passing.
Funeral Services are Monday, July 13, 2026 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home with Nate Howard Officiating, visitation will begin at 11:00 am and continue until time of his services. Burial will follow in the Marsh Creek Cemetery.
