William Charles West, of Pine Knot, Kentucky departed this life Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, In Somerset Kentucky being 73 years, 9 months, 29 days old. He was born in Pine Knot, Kentucky on October 19, 1940 the son of the late Allen and Rachel (Hill) West.
Charles was a logger and self employed; he loved fishing and spending time with his animals. Some of Charles favorite music was country and gospel.
He is survived by his loving wife; Mildred West, whom he married June 14, 1971 in Pine Knot, Kentucky, one brother; Carl and Betty West of Pine Knot, Kentucky, one sister; Betty Lou Whallen of Strunk, Kentucky.
Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 11:00 am at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Israel Clark officiating; Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
McCreary County Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangments for William Charles West.
