William “Wild Bill” Hal Kennedy, age 67 years, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died July 6, 2020 at his home.
He was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 4, 1952 the son of Elgin and Mary Ellen (Barnett) Kennedy. Bill had worked as a roofer, had served his country in the US Army, enjoyed fishing, horse trading, but most importantly his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Stephen Kennedy; and sisters, Ruby Ramona Arthur and Robin Nicole Staley.
Survivors include his sons, William Jones of Texas, Joshua Kennedy of Harlan, Kentucky; and Travis Kennedy of Whitley City, Kentucky; brother, Joseph Smart of Whitley City; sisters, Judy Kennedy of Parkers Lake, Teresa Thresher and husband, Paul of Riddle, Oregon, Anna Ball of Pine Knot, Kentucky, and Lisa Kennedy Smith, several grandchildren and very special aunts, Joyce New and Shirley Corder both of Parkers Lake; dearest friends, Ronald and Reda Bennett; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and adopted grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 11am Saturday, July 11, 2020 at the Marlar Cemetery with Bro. Doyle “Boone” Perry officiating.
The family has suggested that memorials be made to the William Kennedy funeral fund at the funeral home
McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
