Jim and Debbie are the owner of McCreary County Funeral Home and both serves as President. Debbie has been a licensed funeral director since 1998 and holds license
in both Kentucky and Tennessee. She graduated from Mid America College
of Funeral Service and is also an embalmer. She has a son Colby Campbell.
Debbie has been very active in the community and has served on many local civic groups and organizations.
Jim is currently serving his apprenticeship as a Funeral Director. He and Debbie have been married for five years. Jim has two sons: Mack and Ryan.

Gidget is the grand-daughter of Jimmy and Maxine (Jones) Waters. The McCreary County Funeral Home has been in her life since she was a child. She is also the grand-daughter of Bill and Faye Crabtree. She is the daughter of Kimberly and Michael Crabtree, and she has made her home in Strunk, KY. Gidget has three children: Skyler, Sidney, and Shaelyn.
Gidget is a Kentucky Licensed Funeral Director and level two apprentice for Embalming, she has a degree from Western Kentucky University in Office System Technologies, and is in her second year of college to obtain her Associate degree of Applied Science for Embalming and Funeral Directing.
Gidget is very compassionate about her work and enjoys serving her local community.
Tim was born the son of Terry G. and Elisa (Waters) Corder. He is married to Amy L. (Perry) Corder and father to Isaac, Sarah, and Rylee. His grandparents were the late Elbert and Randy (Jones) Corder and Buddy and Jacqueline (Cline) Waters.
Tim started in the funeral service industry with Maxine (Jones) Waters in September of 2007. He is a licensed Kentucky Funeral Director and Life Insurance Agent. He is currently the elected McCreary County Coroner.
Tim is a member of the Clearview United Baptist Church, Orie S. Ware Masonic Lodge, Laurel Heights Order of the Eastern Star, Scottish Rite Covington Valley, and McCreary County Fair Board. He has served as McCreary County Republican Chairman, McCreary County Election Board Republican Member, and Adanta Regional Board of Directors Member.

Israel is the son of Israel and Loretta (Coffey) Clark. He graduated from the McCreary Central High School in 2013.
Isreal sings with the group Journey Home and was a former member of the singing group Kentucky Mountain Trio. He is a member of the Wolf Creek United Baptist Church. He has made his home in Stearns, KY.
Israel brings much compassion and enthusiasm to our team, and we are very proud to have him aboard.
Jimmy was born the 16th child of Henley and Lillie Ledbetter Waters. He became a certified EMT, working for the local ambulance
service. In 1984 he became elected Coroner of McCreary
County. He then enrolled in Mortuary School at Mid-America,
becoming a licensed funeral director and embalmer.
He married the late Maxine Jones Waters in 2001. They had 14 wonderful and successful years together as the former owners of the McCreary County Funeral Home.
Jimmy now currently works part time for Jim and Debbie Murphy, the current owners of the funeral home.
He is a valuable asset to the funeral business, and we are pleased to have him aboard. He has a passion of working in the funeral home business.
Jimmy is a member of East Apple Tree Baptist Church and a ordained deacon since 1983. He is a member of Preforming Arts and very active in the community.
Larry had 13 years’ experience in the funeral business as an attendant. Larry was currently serving his apprenticeship
as a Funeral Director and we was very fortunate to have him. Larry was married to Nelda Boyatt for 46
years and they had one son Scott. They resided in Whitley City. Larry was a professional and enjoyed serving his community.
We are deeply sadden by the loss of one of our valued
employees and friend Mr. Larry Jones. He was a pleasure to work with and
everyone who knew him loved him, he was a kind and generous soul, would do
anything for anyone. He always had a smile on his face and good things to say
about everyone. He loved the Lord and his family very much. He was devoted to
his job and treasured serving his community. He was so proud of being a Funeral
Director. It has been an honor to work with Larry and we are sure going to miss
seeing his smiling face every day.

Patty had worked
for the funeral home for eight years. She had two daughters: Jennifer Menhinick
of Aeworth, Georgia, and Stephanie Spradlin of Strunk, Kentucky. Patty loved her job and loved serving her community.

friend Patricia “Patty” Aileen Crabtree, she passed away Tuesday, August 2,
2016, at her home in Whitley City, Kentucky being 65 years, 3 months and 17
